Phu Dong Thach Giong

This is the final concept for an artwork I'm working on, my entry for a contest on Vietnam Comic Farm --> [link]

This concept is a combination of 2 Vietnamese mythical characters: Thanh Giong (Phu Dong Thien Vuong) and Thach Sanh. Thanh Giong was a mythical nation hero, who suddenly turned into a powerful man when he was just 3 years old, and with a full metal suit and a metal horse, he went to the battle field and fought the enemy from the north. After that, he flew to the sky and became a legendary god. The other one - Thach Sanh is from another story, who was just a hewer, but killed a snake monster with an ax, had a magical pot that could make unlimted rice and saved the nation from the invasion only by playing the flute.

Both of them are symbols of our culture, since that's the requirement of the contest. I combined them to be a traditional hero for the final artwork, so wait for it when I'm done.

For now, this is just the concept.
